[FIC] easy like a monday morning 1.6k

Title: easy like a monday morning
Fandom: The 10th Kingdom
Pairings: Virginia Lewis/Wolf
Summary: Virginia Lewis has breakfast in bed, calls her father, chats with her grandmother, and takes a walk in the park with her husband on her day off.
Notes: [personal profile] night_inscriber asked for 10th Kingdom Virginia/Wolf fluff or anything with Steve Rogers when I offered them a solstice fic. I didn’t quite make solstice and I’m not much of one for Christmas so I figured I’d do as the hobbits do and give it to them for my birthday.
Shhh, it’s still my birthday week.

And because Night is the actual best (y’all should say nice things) I kinda maybe wrote both prompts? Anywhoo.

Also Virginia’s Grandmother’s name is Adeline. ‘cause she doesn’t have one canonically I needed one.

You can read it on AO3

Snowflake Challenge Day 1

I'm doing the [community profile] snowflake_challenge from Jan 1-15.

Day 1

In your own space, talk about your Happy Place—the things that give you joy, calms you or keeps you sane. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

Hipster cafes are an important part of my routine. I find them calming, the smell of coffee, people coming and going. The best of them mix indoor and outdoor space, and have lots of greenery. I like bringing headphones and writing in them, postcards, fic, essays, whatever. I don’t actually drink coffee, doesn’t mix well with my anti-depressant, but the smell of it brewing has become automatically calming. I drink chai lattes instead and they vary a lot in quality so it’s a bit of an adventure every time. I find they are the easiest place to find the right headspace for writing.

It also gives me a chance to get out of my own head a bit and that’s been really good for me lately.
