Snowflake Challenge Day 7
Day 7
Stretch yourself a little and try something new. Go play in a new fandom or with a new pairing. Try working in a new medium. Or check out some fanworks that are new to you. (The recs from Day 2 might be a good place to start.) Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
So I actually spent yesterday doing something entirely new! Because I was dissatisfied by the quality of the Katara icons I could find I was like it can't be that hard to make them. Spoiler: it is and I have a new appreciation of the multi talented artists who create them.
But yesterday I taught myself how to make a gif, and then resize and edit it until it fit dreamwidths size requirements! I've only made 4 so far and they're not great but I want to keep making more.
Check them out-

The most helpful ones were these-
video guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ni6wPec9qzo
giphy's beginner guide: https://giphy.com/posts/how-to-use-giphys-gif-maker
and this one is pretty comprehensive: https://buffer.com/library/animated-gifs
Hope that helps! I'd love to see your first gif/icon
