Can you imagine?

They come up with idk- a serum the gives you powers but it’s only good on young people and really? Do you really want to weaponize people in space?

So it doesn’t get used until the 100 get shipped back to earth and they’ve only got like 100 doses (+2 b/c Murphy is going to have powers which means Bellamy needs them too and Raven is too awesome not to be a technopath).

So Clarke escapes her cell and her mother gives her the shot right above her father’s watch and Shumway shows up with a gun and one hand and syringe in the other and tells Bellamy to kill the Councilor for both of them. The councilor tells them in the video about the serum but it’s a little too sci-fi for them so it’s dismissed in the whole shit we’re going to earth chaos. until.

Until they land and Octavia screams we’re back bitches and they’re cleaning up and setting up camp and there’s a kid who broke his arm in the landing (crash. but hey any one you walk away from right?) and Clarke’s setting it and her skin brushes his and. And his arm’s healed. Just like that. The kid’s too caught up the miracle to realize that just for a moment Clarke’s arm had bent and snapped and she’s doubled over by the pain (for a moment, just a moment) and across camp one of the hoard of teen extras is making flowers sprout beneath her feet.

So Clarke brushes her hands over the injured because she’s never been good at taking care of herself (she had Wells for that but now. Things change.) The bruises, cuts, scrapes flicker on her skin and fade quick and nobody is looking for it, so nobody sees. It’s just a moment of pain for somebody else’s freedom from it. She’s thinks its worth it. Clarke always thinks healing someone is worth it. (That’s why she’s Clarke)

Princess doesn’t really sound like an insult after she’s healed the 100 and about half the camp is saying it in reverential tones.

Jasper can blow things up with his brain, which is totally cooler than Monty’s ability to grow things. Miller can purify water make it drinkable but Roma can control it, pulling water out of people’s clothes, out of tents, throwing up a shield of water over the whole camp after the glory of the first thunderstorm had worn off and they were sick of being soaked. Fires leap into existence when Monroe snaps her fingers and die when she glares at them, she’s never cold anymore. Harper takes a shot and never misses, one bullet one kill, which means she’s always got a gun on her. Finn never loses a scent after he catches which makes him the best damn tracker in the camp.

Octavia is strong and fast and downright feral which is why the first time she and Bellamy get into a knockdown fight nobody is really all that shocked when she blurs into, to quote some asshole in the crowd a motherfucking wolf and lunges for her brother. Except Bellamy’s stronger and faster and knocks her away and the bastard’s got super strength and invulnerability not that anybody catches on to that for a while.

Murphy can break bones and twist peoples bodies and most of his crew’s powers are about the ability to hurt people and Clarke is quietly grateful that Bellamy is stronger than them.

Atom’s got telekinesis but Fox can read peoples minds, and Wells can make people listen to him. When he starts talking people just stop. (Nobody likes the kids with mind powers)

Charlotte gave off light and color depend on her mood (and when Bellamy told her to say screw you I’m not afraid they’d gone golden and soft, without the harsh cadence of black that colored her every move on the ground.)

Clarke can’t bring back the dead but that doesn’t mean she didn’t try. (Clarke can’t heal herself either)

+

So superpowers save them from some choices, some deaths.

(Clarke hums when she lays hands on Atom and keeps humming even as her skin boils and bubbles with pain. Bellamy is looking at her, not at Atom and watches the blisters flicker quick fade, the grimace on her face as she keeps humming.

This is when Bellamy Blake decides Clarke Griffin is the sort of strong that makes him ashamed. It doesn’t stop him from shouting at her for concealing what her power does to her away from the rest. Even Bellamy recognizes that they need her.)

The walls take a day to be built and they are twice as tall and made of metal because there’s a kid with the ability to transform matter. And they have thirty feet of clearing around the camp because they need a clear lines of sight and growing plants means you can kill them too.

A moment sometime after they become co-leaders when Bellamy brings in a kid who cut his himself hunting and bled everywhere. He’s only got one shirt dammit. So Clarke heals the kid and tries to heal Bellamy too. (It’s not my blood. I’ll believe you if you let me heal you. And he’s dodging her because he disagrees with the casual use of her powers (she thinks) and eventually she just grabs him and oh. It’s the first time she’s touched someone without pain since they hit the ground. You can’t be hurt she says and then they argue about concealing powers, you can’t talk princess and she says you don’t hide things from me. The others yes. But not me. Things become easier between them after that.

(Looking back she realizes it was the same when he pulled her up from the trap but there were others and her power was too new to notice the difference.)

She doesn’t sleep with Finn. There’s a moment when she’s tempted but its not worth the pain, the everyday aches compounded by somebody else’s pain. She’s glad of that when Raven crashes the next day- strong and fierce and terrifying with her ability to take machines apart and put them back together.

(Mom, Clarke says we don’t need to worry about the aftermath just getting the knife out without killing him.

Abby Griffin says of course you do-

and Clarke cuts her off and says you gave us a serum that gave us powers based on who we are and what we want. What do you think I got? Which gets embarrassed silence from Abby.) So they get the knife out and Raven watches Clarke grimace and go pale and yeah Raven knows too. Raven builds radios because they don’t need a physical bomb with Jasper.

So they don’t have to torture Lincoln but that doesn’t mean they treat him well and Clarke goes to clean his wounds and she brushes her hand against his, just once and then cleans the blood away as she and Octavia argue about necessity.

And Day Trip crap stoned teenagers with superpowers with Mom and Dad out of camp. Things are hella more chaotic. And then the bridge and Anya is a little more wary a little more afraid because the Sky people can do things her people can hardly imagine. It still ends with Jasper breaking cover but in this world its when he blows the top off of the trees grounders are hanging from not by shooting them. The exodus ship crashes and Clarke doubles up in pain and Raven reassembles the ship with her mind carrying what’s salvageable with her, sealing up the explosives for later use, because who knows what you’ll need and Murphy shows up and things go to shit. (Bellamy won’t let Clarke get near enough to Murphy to heal him. thinks he doesn’t deserve it.)

Clarke presses a hand to everyone who gets sick but not before Derek succumbs to the illness and she gets sicker and sicker until Bellamy forces her into a hammock and tells her if she tries to heal anybody else he’ll kill them and waste her work. Raven’s building radios not bombs because Jasper is put in charge of blowing up the bridge and Jasper leaves camp with Monty and some of the militia Clarke healed right around the time Bellamy gets sick. He wakes to Murphy offering him water and refuses but Clarke takes over not before laying a hand on Murphys shoulder. He heals she blanches and Bellamy calls her a goddamn idiot.

The smokehouse doesn’t burn because Monroe was in charge of the fire which means the grounders take Clarke and her escort from right outside of the walls where they’re preparing for war. She might regret healing Lincoln when they kill Myles (who could turn himself invisible) and take Finn and her to Tris. Anya says save her or your friend dies and that’s not a choice for her. So she presses a hand to Tris’s forehead murmurs comfort as she buckles. Clarke spits blood from a collapsed lung and Anya looks at her with something like respect and Finn finally puts together her aversion to touch and her power. He shouts when they take him away, nearly doubles back when they release him but he’s alone and unarmed so he goes back to camp. And he can find her again so he hopes she can wait for reinforcements. He stumbles into Monty and they make it back to camp together and round up a party to rescue Clarke because they’re untrained kid but they’ve got superpowers which makes them pretty badass if they could only see who they’re fighting. That mission doesn’t go well and elsewhere Clarke is making her first kill, carefully. Because she can’t touch him without healing him.

Meanwhile Murphy snapped both of Jaspers legs with a thought and holds the groundship hostage. Raven can unlock the door with a thought but they need Jasper as a soldier so they can’t risk him. Bellamy negotiates a trade because bullets aren’t going to hurt him and he’s the one Murphy wants anyway. (Clarke is the only one who knows he’s invulnerable.)

So they go through that scene put the noose around your neck, but Bellamy’s not going to die from this. So he rushes Murphy and gets a bullet that bounces off of him for his trouble and Murphy tries to use his power but it doesn’t work. (Murphy totally dies ok? Ok.)

They’re a lot stronger in this world so they stand their ground but they’re still only untrained teenagers so when the grounders come by the hundreds they kill them by the tens. People die but Raven who’s up and walking with a bullet still in her throws the ship together and fires the rockets with Bellamy and Finn still out there. They win.

And then the mountain men come.

Clarke wakes up in a white room, cleaner then she has been in months and pulls the iv. Across from her Monty is growing vines in the cracks forcing the door open. Down the hall Jasper just blew out his door and…

Alya runs the definitive Ladybug site. She’s the first call for Ladybug interviews (and if Chat ever gives one she’s likely to be his first choice too- a. Because he trusts his lady’s judgement and b. Because he knows her.) Alya is, in fact, the only member of the media we’ve seen Ladybug speak too.

Ladybug literally leaps right past the camera crews to talk to Alya in the mime episode.

So she has exclusive content, is basically guaranteed to be right on site when an attack breaks out (I have theories about that too but that’s a whole ‘nother post) and runs a site specifically for her content.

Alya Césaire is absolutely internet famous. Full stop.

The Ladyblog is not something she really expected to take off. (tbf Alya never expected to be living in a world with superheroes in it.) But she was on site when the first attack happened and a child of her generation and a reporter to the bone- so she’s got the best angle when Ladybug appears and shouts at “Lucky Charm” to the sky.

She ran a blog half heartedly before Ladybug and the footage of that fight, the first fight, is the post with the single most comments, reblogs, likes. She turns off her phone that night because it won’t stop buzzing as notifications come in. The conversation that comes out of it, the speculation, it’s better than fandom for her. She’s deep down the rabbit hole when the next Akuma strikes eight blocks down from her apartment. Alya runs towards the fight.

The Ladyblog is created the next day. It’s a mix of exclusive footage, speculation on origins and identity of their hero, and squee.

She’s there two weeks later when Chat Noir joins the fight, already recording, and he has to haul her out of the way of a plasma blast. She gets the first interview either of them ever gives that time.

It’s willful the way she throws herself into danger after that.

The sorting hat drops over Hermione Grangers head and the first word it says to her is Slytherin.

No. She says, brisk and abrupt, the tone that in a decade ministry workers will have learned to cower from.

No.
