Summary: Later, Dora would think back on it and realise that clinically speaking, she had died.
Notes:I watched Venom a few weeks ago and deliberately did not let myself get attached to Dora, knowing that she would undoubtedly die sometime in the movie. And then I was so tired of knowing these things, that women die in film all time and nobody cares, I went hunting for fix-it fic. This was everything I hoped and more.
I Am the Night by chash
Summary: A new vigilante rises in New York City. The official position of the NYPD is that he's a criminal. Jake Peralta thinks he needs a sweater.
Notes:I normally read chash for their quality bellarke fic so when I got the notification for this one I nearly skipped. I'm so glad I didn't. Jake and the rest of the 99 gang is perfectly in character with their lowkey dragging of batman and desire to provide him with care packages and sweaters.
Linguistic Ambiguities in Vulcan Ethical Codes by elumish
Summary: The thing people always forget is that it was a Vulcan ship that reached Tarsus IV first.
Notes:This was and is my absolute favorite look at Jim Kirk post-Tarsus in the AOS. I have 100% accepted it as canon.
